Art in Healthcare’s collection of original works of art consists of artists that were active from 1960’s and continues to grow today. With the generous support of artists, various foundations and individual collectors the collection is maintained to reflect the best practice and quality of Scottish art. The collection includes works from different media, subjects and techniques suitable for display in healthcare environments and without compromising the artistic quality. The collection contains more than 1,600 artworks and a large proportion of it is already on display in different healthcare environments across Scotland.

As our collection grows our mission is to bring these artworks to the widest public in Scotland, in unintentional places for art – such as hospitals, care homes, hospices, medical practices - therefore bringing art to audiences of all ages and condition that perhaps wouldn’t have easy access to major urban cultural centres.
