Collectors

Over recent years, Art in Healthcare has experienced an exciting period of growth. We have been supplying high-quality,original works of art by the best Scottish artists to ever more hospitals and other healthcare settings throughout the country. Our charity has become a key organisation in the vitally important work of providing the therapeutic presence and power of the visual arts to those who need a sympathetic and healing environment.

We regularly consider ways in which our Art Collection can be expanded and enhanced, and, as a charity, we are very appreciative of the generosity of our supporters. If you would like to contribute to our work by offering to donate any original works of art from your own collection, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact our Collection Manager for more details.

Artists

Our indebtedness to the generosity of artists is immense and is particularly seen in their continued donation to our prestigious Collection. Hundreds of artworks have, over the years, been very generously gifted to our charity by artists, which we are eternally grateful for.

If you are a Scotland-based art college graduate and you would like to have your work in the Art in Healthcare Collection please send a CV with images of the work(s) to our Collection Manager.

In selecting work for the Collection, the following criteria will be considered:

  • Quality of the work
  • Appropriateness and relevance to the healthcare environment and different user groups
  • How it relates to the overall demographic of the Collection
  • How it reflects contemporary practice
  • Display practicalities
