My work stems from a deep respect for nature; the joy of contemplating flowers, trees and all her other manifestations. Through my paintings I seek to convey my love for all living things.Born in England, Irene came to Canada in 1957 and lived in Thunder Bay for seven years before settling in Toronto. Always interested in art, she studied under the late Ethel MacLennan, a Thunder Bay artist and teacher, and entered many juried art shows there.

Irene's style is impressionistic and lively using vibrant colours. Acrylics are her medium of choice. She has also studied mono-printing with Lorna Livey, teacher and owner of the Fifth Street Gallery. Watercolour paints are used to produce these works. [source:www.artbyjudith.ca]
