Excerpt from Tommy's artist's statement - "The image of the tower was created using the lego software programme 'LDraw' Freely distributed on the internet, this programme was originally intended to allow lego enthusiasts to share their designs with each other. Although used by thousands, and the prototype for countless similar programmes, the creator, James Jessiman, never profited from its success. An extremely gifted young programmer, the Lego community was stunned by his death in 1997 at the age of 23. This piece is about how we cope with loss today and can be seen as my memorial to this young man whom I never knew."

Tommy Grace graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2002.
