Stacks is a beautiful monoprint conveying a familiar Scottish seascape. Two rocky stacks stand boldly and somewhat unexpectedly in the sombre and warm atmosphere of the background. The playfulness of dark stacks in the glowing warmth add to the beautiful quality of this artwork.
''The image is based on the 'Stacks of Duncansby Head' in Caithness near John O'Groats. Over the past year I have developed my monoprint technique in a way that I can produce a small variable edition''. Anne Russell
