Ivan Polley studied Graphics at Colchester and North East Essex School of Art. He has worked as a professional printer and as part-time lecturer for Napier College, Edinburgh. He has lived in Scotland for over thirty years and has exhibited widely: his one-man exhibitions have been held in Edinburgh, Anstruther, Dundee, Glasgow, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Belfast and Australia. His awards include a grant from the Scottish Arts Council in 1980 and the Gulbenkian Foundation Bursary in Belfast, 1987. He lives, paints and writes from his home in Fife.
