Arlette Munro was born in Belgium in 1940. She attended school in Belgium and trained at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, graduating in 1962. She held the position of Director and Artist at Highland Print Studios in Inverness between 1993 and 1995.
This screenprint verges between the realistic and the abstract. The mass of red flowers demand focus, creating a diagonal colour block across the print, dividing it into two sections. This line acts to separate the garden and house. There is a limited use of colour, with red being predominant.
