Born in 1972, Kirsty Cameron studied at the Scottish College of Textiles, where she specialised in Printed Textiles and graduated in 1994. After winning a graduate placement with BMK/Stoddards, she worked in their design studio for three years before opening a flower shop in Glasgow’s West End, which she ran for seven years, and has since returned to producing artwork full-time. She cites her experience backpacking across Europe as an invaluable source of inspiration for her work. She has produced textile work for numerous clients, including Marks & Spencers, Anna French and Crail Pottery.
