This is a subtle and gentle representation of a Scottish highland landscape - it could be raining, or it's misty - the layering of paint almost vertically and cool colours suggest a windy day too. It is a perfect example where minimal shape and colour are needed sometimes to convey so much and bring the atmosphere to the viewer in an instant.
