Painting, Printmaking and Papermaking is an exhibition has been specially curated for Poynder Apartments, featuring a selection of artworks from the Art in Healthcare collection.
The artworks displayed here explore a variety of subjects, from realism to abstract, showcasing expressively painted canvases alongside bold graphic prints. You will also discover some smaller, more intimate artworks that depict journeys into the natural landscape and the magical inner worlds of the imagination. The diverse making techniques presented here include: drawing and painting; etching; silkscreen; woodcut; papermaking and embossing.
Art in Healthcare is a charity working across Scotland to improve health and wellbeing for individuals and communities. We provide creative experiences facilitated by artists and opportunities to engage with high-quality visual art exhibitions within communities and in health and social care settings.
Over the last thirty years, Art in Healthcare has established a vast collection of artworks featuring artworks by prominent artists whose careers have spanned from the 1960’s to the present day. Each work in the collection has been selected or donated because of its potential to inspire and enrich lives. The artworks are exhibited in over forty community and healthcare settings, including Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Lothians, Fife and Tayside, North Lanarkshire, the Highlands and the Orkney Islands.
