Taking Art Home is a project working with older adults living in residential care homes across South Lanarkshire as well as people living with Long Covid throughout Scotland. It aims to benefit participants by providing access to quality visual art and building personal confidence through participation in creative workshops.

Creative Sessions in care homes

We are currently working in two care homes in South Lanarkshire, introducing residents to different creative activities every week in both group and one-to-one sessions.

Creative Sessions with people living with Long Covid

In partnership with Covid:Aid we run a weekly online art class for people living with Long Covid. During the online sessions we explore different creative activities together but remotely. If anyone can’t make a session there is pre-recorded video content available.

If you are living with Long Covid in Scotland and would like to find out more please contact jeni@artinhealthcare.org.uk

Artwork loans

Participants in Taking Art Home have the opportunity to loan pieces from Art in Healthcare’s collection to display in their own homes.

Taking Art Home is delivered in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council, Covid:Aid and Luminate.
