Inspired by Elspeth Lamb’s ‘Green Tea and Fuji-San’, the concept of this collage was to imagine the view of a mountain from a window. One of the artist Cathy Trinder’s papers had an article about mountain views with the word ‘view’ already there against a ridge that reminded her of Goat Fell, not far from her home. Cathy also wanted to play with contrasting colours and make the window look more 3D as if you could step out of it and into the landscape beyond.
