This self-portrait which appears to be unfinished was left so deliberately. Like Wendy’s other works from Taking Art Home, she worked very quickly on this one, and was very pleased with the result. Wendy’s conscious choice not to ‘finish’ reflects the way in which she says ‘the challenges of disability can prevent us from completing tasks which are important to us’.
