This artwork was inspired by Richard Spire’s ‘Thirsty Periwinkles’. The artist, Cathy Trinder says she loved ‘seeing how the colours and shapes of tulip flowers change as they start to blow over, and especially the darkness of the anthers against the lightening petals when they fall’. Cathy chose to capture these while they were in her favourite jug.
