In this large print many different methods of printmaking, including silkscreen print and woodcut, exploring themes of related to the artists spiritual growth. Texture has been used to great effect in this print. The grain of the wood block can be seen clearly and provides pattern and contrast in the image.  

Kerstin Duncan was born in Dundee and graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, in 1994 with a BA in printmaking. She was the winner of the Edinburgh Printmakers Prize at the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) Student Show of that year.
