Trees and Seasons (Oak Leaf) and Palm Leaves are both original prints that focus on techniques of printmaking. Incorporating many methods, including papermaking and including found materials in her work.  and some found materials into her work. Both works are inspired by the natural world, capturing organic detail through use of line, shape and texture.  

Ruth Beardsworth was born in 1943 in Bremen, Germany. She graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Preston Polytechnic in 1979. This was followed by an MA in Printmaking at Manchester Polytechnic in 1980. She has worked at Printmaking at Gray’s School of Art and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. She was the winner if the Shell Expro Award in 1992 NS RGW Glasgow Print Studio Publication Award in 1996.
