One of the artist’s favourite pass times is to watch the sunset over water/ the sea/ lochs with greenery. Katrina Whittingham painted this on a ‘flat’ energy evening when she couldn’t go out, from her kitchen view and mind’s eye of beautiful memories. She says, ‘painting it lifted me. It’s a bit ‘smudgy and runny’ as memories can be like that!’.
