An organisation with care at its core,
making art possible, resources and more.
Long term ill-health causes isolation.
Getting creative, we shed some frustration.
We learn techniques; arts and crafts on-line.
Our teachers are talented, patient and kind.
‘Take Art Home’, is the group for us.
An on-line art group is an absolute must.
A place to learn, a place to make friends,
a place where time flies and we can pretend..
..that we have no problems, escape for a while;
get lost in creating, find our own style.
Video links, were sent so that we,
could watch and prepare, or simply be.
Facebook and Zoom allowed us to share.
Tutors listened and were always fair.
We were allowed to break halfway through,
to do those things we had to do;
to take meds or food, or go to the loo.
We could turn off our videos and mute too.
Without this special on-line art group,
many of us would be sad.
Being creative can help with healing
and for this we are so glad.
There should be no need for justification,
of such a group as this.
We take our hats off to all concerned.
You see ‘Take Art Home’ is bliss!
I hope you enjoy the exhibition.
There’s something for everyone.
We hope and pray we get funding,
so we can soon have more fun.
