We have recently been successful in receiving funding from Edinburgh University’s Local Community Grants Scheme. We are using this to work with the wonderful SAMH at Redhall Walled Garden and deliver a set of Art Therapy sessions.
Art Therapy is an additional service that we have added to our socially prescribed Room for Art sessions as a response to the pandemic as many support services in health and social care are currently oversubscribed, either with long waiting lists or not accepting new referrals.
Currently 90% of our Room for Art participants are women and this is the first time we have used Art Therapy in this way. We are very excited to start our sessions next week in such a beautiful and unique setting as Redhall Walled Garden. It will provide us lots of opportunities to combine art and nature.
