“The Edinburgh marathon is incredible, and it feels like such a privilege to have been a part of this spectacular event. I’m thrilled and still quite stunned to have completed the huge challenge I set out to do. There were many cold evenings and dark mornings running along the A702 when I felt ready to throw in the towel! A back injury two weeks before the marathon also didn’t help… but i still made it! I’m delighted and very grateful to friends, family and colleagues for helping me raise a significant amount of money to enable Art in Healthcare bring creativity and inspiration to more people that will benefit.”

‘Taking part in the Edinburgh marathon and raising money for Art in Healthcare has been a goal of mine since I signed up in 2019 and I have finally after much waiting and training, fulfilled this dream. Since the pandemic the relevance and importance of art in my own life and its role in healing has only increased and made me even more passionate about my choice of charity. On the big day I enjoyed the race and was spurred on by all the support shown on the streets and the beautiful scenery along the route. If anyone else is inspired to take up this challenge I would encourage them to go for it!’
