We're Hiring! | Creative Communities Coordinator

We are now recruiting for a Creative Communities Coordinator at Art in Healthcare. 

This role will support key areas of Art in Healthcare’s operations with a focus upon the programmes of creative workshops that we deliver to support health and wellbeing across Scotland. Working with the wider Art in Healthcare team, artists, curators and partners you will contribute to our services being inclusive, impactful, developmental and sustainable. You will ensure that all programmes are well run, taking responsibility for tasks such as artist contracts, booking venues and organising materials, being the first point of contact for referrals, participants and volunteers, collecting EDI data and supporting the production of risk assessments. You will also support the documentation and evaluation of programmes, helping us to gather and share feedback.

Another important part of this role is communications, and you will be responsible for working with the Collection and Communications Coordinator to create regular and engaging social media posts and website posts.

You will have responsibility for helping us as a team to meet these specific strategic aims:

Use Art and Creativity to help People Feel Better  

· Consolidate and develop our existing workshop programme, ensuring that the benefits of art and creativity are available to all.

· Support ambitions to use participatory activities and programmes to animate our art collection in health and social care settings. 

Increase Access to Art and to our Services

· Place engagement, inclusion and accessibility at the core of all our activities. 

Widen our Partnerships to Unlock Potential

· Use evaluation and data to inform our activities.

· Empower communities and partners to help shape our services.

Challenge Ourselves on our Environmental Responsibilities

· Support participants to engage with the natural environment, creativity, and consider social change, including climate change.

Terms and Conditions

Salary: £28,000 per annum [pro rata]

Term: Fixed-Term (2 years)

Hours: Three days per week

We offer 37 days of annual leave [pro rata]. We are a Living Wage Employer and are working towards being a Living Pension Employer. Each team member has an annual training budget.

Art in Healthcare supports flexible working. We have an office in central Edinburgh and staff members split their time between the office and home working.
