Fee – £150.00 per meeting

The Organisation

At Art in Healthcare, we are excited and motivated by the possibilities that art provides to support the health and wellbeing of everyone living in Scotland. Over the last thirty years we have worked to improve health and wellbeing for individuals and communities by providing opportunities to experience and engage with high quality visual art, artists and creativity. More information can be found at www.artinhealthcare.org.uk

The Role

We are looking for an individual to work with us on a freelance basis to take minutes at our quarterly Board meetings. We typically meet at our York Place office for an early evening meeting on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening in February, May, September and December. Meetings last for around two hours, from 5pm to 7pm. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 10 September 2025, 5pm to 7pm.

We are looking for someone to work with us to:

  • Record Board meetings accurately and fully, including decisions taken and actions agreed.
  • Produce and share draft minutes [in our house style] with the Executive Director in a timely manner, following each Board meeting.

Skills and Experience

Ideally, you’ll have strong administration skills and previous experience of producing minutes for a charity. You will also be happy to recognise the sometimes-confidential nature of matters discussed and be willing to work in line with our Data and Online Security Policy.

Terms and Conditions

We will pay an hourly rate of £30.00 per hour and anticipate that each board meeting will involve around five hours of work, two in person and three writing up and sharing a draft version of the minutes.  As a temporary, freelance member of the team you will be responsible for your tax and national insurance contributions.  You should submit invoices after each meeting, and we endeavour to make payment within seven working days. You will be responsible for your subsistence and travel.
