Our Room For Art workshops have started a new pilot ‘Quiet Group’ which is based at The Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith.
The intention of this group is to offer a space for those who may find traditional groups overwhelming. This could be due to sensory factors such as noise or bright lights, or challenges associated with social anxiety, for example.
We are co-creating with group members what is needed in such a space to feel supported and creative. In week 1, the group was led through some mono-printing processes, including ‘gelli plate’ printing with autumn leaves and Lego printing.
A massive thank you to EVOC, who have funded this project through their Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
