Room For Art enjoyed a wonderful outing to Linlithgow over the summer break, where we visited ‘Homecoming’, an exhibition by Artist Leo Du Feu!
Leo leads the Room For Art group at the Portrait Gallery and has been involved with the project since its beginnings, 10 years ago! It was such a privilege and a joy to listen to Leo share his creative process and personal experiences with us. The group were then inspired to do some outdoor sketching of our own, led by Leo, overlooking the beautiful Linlithgow Loch!
Huge thanks and recognition must be given to Scotrail and namely Ros in the Community Liaison Team, who provided us with complimentary rail travel from Edinburgh to Linlithgow and back. This enabled a large group of us to access such a fantastic opportunity out with the city. For many, travelling by train holds happy memories and it was a real positive social experience to get to travel on the train together!
‘Homecoming’ is still on at The Burgh Halls until Sunday 13 September 2026!
