Thanks to the Scottish Contemporary Art Network for arranging a visit from Q Manivannan MSP last week.

We had the opportunity to tell Q about our extensive outreach programme including the Room for Art social prescribing project which supports health and wellbeing across Edinburgh. Together we discussed the value that the visual art sector brings as a key partner in cross-portfolio working, from health to placemaking.

Alongside the 10 by 10 exhibition showcasing all of the great work made in Room for Art, we also got to share a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of our newly fitted out art store [thanks to Museums Galleries Scotland and The National Lottery Heritage Fund], where the art collection is held, ready to be loaned to health and social care settings across Scotland.
